The 2020 harvest was the first late harvest of Moscatel Graúdo. This wine was produced only with the Moscatel Graúdo variety, a very traditional variety in this region Península de Setúbal, from vines with a productivity of 3 tons per hectare. The harvest was made at the end of the 2nd week of November, with the grapes already in a high state of maturity and botrytis cinerea. The resulting wine has a slightly amber color, intense aroma of very ripe fruit pulp yellow or even boiled, such as quince or pear. In the mouth despite the initial attack is sweet, it finishes with a very pleasant acidity. It can be consumed as
an aperitif or with cheese. Winemaking Production Methods: The grapes maturation control was carried out to define the desired state of ripeness. The grapes, harvested by hand, were crushed and macerated for two days in a press with automatic treading and low temperature (16ºC), followed by slight pressing and static decanting of cold (10°C) for 24 hours. Fermentation occurred very slowly at temperatures between 12 and 14ºC.
Fermentation occurred naturally stopping, using low temperature to 8 ° C, preserving part of grape sugar.
This wine received an award in the blind taste of the magazine Paixão Pelo Vinho, Edition nº 82, page 39. It was awarded a silver medal with a score of 17/20.
